The 9 – Tower

The 9 is the rehabilitation of the historic Ameritrust Tower Complex including the 1010 Euclid Building, Cleveland Trust Company Rotunda, and Breuer Tower. The development was financed as two separate projects.  The Breuer Tower has been repurposed to provide needed downtown housing and the 150+ room Metropolitan at the 9, a member of Marriott’s The Autograph Collection.

Impact

  • Job Creation

    The project is anticipated to create 610 prevailing wage construction jobs. Upon completion, 150 full time or full time equivalent permanent jobs will be located at the project site.

  • Diversity and Inclusion

    The project sponsor committed to construction participation goals for Minority, Female, and Cleveland Small Businesses (MBE/FBE/CSB) as well as minority, female, and City of Cleveland resident workers.

  • Environmentally Sustainable Outcomes

    The project returns a vacant building and former Brownfield site to productive use. The interior of the building will be built to LEED equivalent standards.

  • Executed Community Benefits Agreement

    The project sponsor has committed to quantifiable community impacts by executing a Community Benefits Agreement.

  • Accessible Public Transit

    The project is located on the RTA Healthline, the bus route connecting University Circle and Public Square.
