The project is a collaborative public/private effort to dramatically update the 10-acre Public Square into a catalytic, dynamic, world-class public space in the heart of downtown Cleveland. As it exists today, Public Square is almost 60% hard scape. The new design will remove 50,000 square feet of pavement and will add 20% more space. The design for Public Square is an opportunity to create a space that works for all users whether they visit on foot, bicycle, car, or bus.
