Glenville Circle North

Glenville Circle North is the first project to advance as part of   the City of Cleveland Neighborhood Transformation Initiative.  Launched in 2017, this initiative is focused on housing, economic development and broader quality of life issues for targeted neighborhoods.

Impact

  • Job Creation

    The sponsor will create or cause the commercial tenants to create at least 15 FTE positions.

  • Goods or Services to Low Income Community

    At least 7,000 SQF of commercial space will be used for multigenerational entrepreneurship related programs and educational services including, but not limited to, co-working space with flexible use options and youth entrepreneurship programming. In addition, CCDC will sublease its space to minority owned start-up entities, on a rotating basis, including space for start-up restaurants or other food service businesses.

  • Diversity & Inclusion

    The project sponsor committed to construction participation goals for Minority, Female, and Cleveland Small Businesses (MBE/FBE/CSB) as well as minority, female and City of Cleveland resident workers. The project team includes Ozanne Construction Co., a minority owned company. A portion of the Commercial Component will be leased to Cleveland Citywide Development Corporation (“CCDC”), which will also promote minority owned enterprises.

  • Affordable Housing

    16 of the apartments will be reserved for people with 80% AMI providing an affordable housing option.

  • Environmentally Sustainable Outcomes

    The project was certified LEED v4 BD+C: New Construction Silver on July 1, 2020.

  • Executed Community Benefits Agreement

    The project sponsor has committed to quantifiable community impacts by executing a Community Benefits Agreement.

  • Advance Neighborhood Redevelopment

    This development will act as a catalyst for additional development in the Glenville neighborhood.
