Glenville Circle North

Glenville Circle North, Cleveland’s pioneering Neighborhood Transformation Initiative project, was spearheaded by developer Wesley Finch’s Finch Group. This $16 million mixed-use development, situated at East 105th Street and Ashbury Avenue, includes 63 apartments (mixed-income one- and two-bedrooms) and 13,500 sq ft of commercial space. The city backed the project with 30-year non-school tax increment financing, $450,000 for a nearby plaza, and $1,457,000 for streetscape improvements. Additionally, CDA contributed $10 million in NMTC.

Operated by The Finch Group, CLEworx launched a co-working space that hosts:

– 100Kideas, a non-profit from Flint, Michigan, supporting teen entrepreneurs in refining and realizing business ideas.

– Gener8tor’s gBeta, a free seven-week accelerator for early-stage startups, connecting entrepreneurs, artists, investors, and more.

– Comeback Capital, an in-house venture capital firm providing startup funding.

The ground floor also houses GlenVillage, a retail incubator managed by Cleveland Citywide Development Corporation. It offers affordable space and wraparound services to help entrepreneurs establish businesses, aiming to transition them to permanent locations.

Affordable Housing Units

16 of the apartments will be reserved for people with 80% AMI providing affordable housing option.

7,000 sq ft of commercial space will host multigenerational entrepreneurship programs, co-working options, and youth entrepreneurship initiatives. CCDC will sublease to minority-owned startups, including space for restaurants or food services.
