Providence House

Providence House (PH) protects at-risk children and supports families through crisis, strengthening communities to end child abuse and neglect.  PH is adding a second crisis nursery on Cleveland’s east side.  The project includes the adaptive reuse of the historic Weizer Building for a Children’s Education and Activity Center, counseling and community space, and administrative offices.  In addition, 10,000 SF will be added to accommodate the nursery.Project Partners: PNC

    The project is expected to create 35 FTE jobs.

  • Goods or Services to Low Income Community

    The Project will add 20 new beds in the nursery and wellness center resulting in an annual increase in the number of children served by 240; serve an additional 120 families in crisis; and provide community resources to an additional 220 families through outreach and continued partner referrals.

  • Advances Neighborhood Revitalization

    The project will serve as an anchor in the Buckeye Commercial Corridor which is a strategic redevelopment priority of the City of Cleveland and the local CDC.

  • Diversity and Inclusion

    The project sponsor committed to construction participation goals for Minority, Female, and Cleveland Small Business (MBE/FBE/CSB) as well as minority, female and City of Cleveland residents.

  • Executed Community Benefits Agreement

    The project sponsor has committed to quantifiable community impacts by executing a Community Benefits Agreement.
