Middough Arts Center

Playhouse Square, the Cleveland Playhouse, and Cleveland State University  have created an arts education collaborative unlike any other in the nation.  This project entailed the acquisition and renovation of the Middough Building to be used as the administrative offices, rehearsal halls, and classroom space for this collaboration.

    The Middough Building will house the support services for the performance space in the Allen Theatre.

    Renovation of the Middough Building will create 50 construction jobs. Upon completion, the presence of dedicated space and new opportunities for growth will create more than 20 jobs.

    The project is a key component in Cleveland State University's ongoing commitment to building a 24-7 downtown community.

  • Accessible Public Transit

    The project is located on the RTA Healthline, the bus route that connects University Circle to Public Square.
