Greater Cleveland Food Bank

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank expanded its reach with a new 197,000-square-foot warehouse, enhancing storage and distribution of non-perishable food to partner agencies. This supports a rise in total food distribution to 59.64 million pounds by 2029, up from 45.66 million in 2018. Projections anticipate serving 100,000 more clients annually, doubling daily meal capacity to 8,000. Enhancements include a new production kitchen, expanded cold storage, and improved facilities for volunteers and staff. The $10 million New Market Tax Credits-funded project aims to create 57 jobs and supports the food bank’s mission across six counties, providing over 500 million meals annually through extensive community partnerships and initiatives.
