Steve A. Luca
Biography
Steve is the Assistant Vice President of Portfolio Management for the Cleveland Development Advisor’s Inc. (“CDA”), an affiliate of the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) responsible for the utilization and management of four (4) real estate investment funds, including Cleveland New Markets Investment Fund II, Cleveland Development Partnership II, Cleveland Civic Vision Housing Fund and the Cleveland New Markets Investment Fund. In this role, Steve identifies and underwrites potential investment opportunities, performs feasibility and risk analysis and structures investments to meet the goals of CDA and GCP. The position is also charged with identifying and monitoring various issues associated with CDA’s $75 million portfolio comprised of approximately sixty (60) real estate projects, while implementing measures to address and mitigate such issues.
Prior to joining CDA, Steve was the Asset Manger of the National Trust Community Investment Corporation (NTCIC), a for-profit subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation located in Washington, D.C. that syndicates both Historic and New Markets Tax Credits. During his time with the company, NTCIC closed 15 real estate equity investments with development costs of over $500 million, spread throughout the United States. Previously, he had spent nine years in the commercial and retail banking industry in both Northeast Ohio and Baltimore, Maryland, including a management training program with Fifth Third Bank of Northeast Ohio.
He serves as Board Member and Officer of LiveCLEVELAND!, a non-profit community development organization dedicated to promoting the livability of Cleveland neighborhoods. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Restoration Society. In 2007, he was selected and participated as a member of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Flagship Program, a civic leadership program designed to focus on rising leaders for the community’s future by providing leadership training, serving as a leadership resource for the community, embracing inclusive and connective leadership, and encouraging communication between emerging leaders and established leaders in the Cleveland community.
Steve obtained a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development, Finance & Investment from the Johns Hopkins University located in Baltimore, Maryland as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College.
