Dean Parker
Biography
Dean joined Cleveland Development Advisors Inc. ("CDA") as an Assistant Vice President in March of 2004. CDA is an affiliate of the Greater Cleveland Partnership responsible for the management of four (4) real estate investment funds, Cleveland Development Partnership II ("CDP"), Cleveland Civic Vision Housing Fund ("CVHF"), Cleveland New Markets Investment Fund ("CNMIF") and, most recently, after being awarded an additional New Markets Tax Credit allocation, Cleveland New Markets Investment Fund II (CNMIF II). These funds were capitalized to spur economic and community development within the local community.
In his role with CDA, Dean is responsible for the daily operational and accounting oversight of the investment funds. This includes providing all necessary financial information to the Board of Managers of the funds, to the private sector investors in each fund and to the Community Development Financial Institution Fund. Additionally, Dean is responsible for the preparation of detailed, in-depth cash flow and feasibility analysis for potential new investment projects.
Prior to joining CDA, Dean held multiple positions in both the public and private sector. After graduation from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, Dean joined the Richard Jacobs Group. There he worked extensively on preparing standardized valuations of the companies multiple shopping center properties. Dean then joined the City of Cleveland and worked in multiple positions within the Finance Department, including oversight of the Capital Budget process. In his last position as the Finance and Budget Manager, he worked extensively on the Cleveland Browns Stadium Project. After leaving the City of Cleveland, Dean joined the Cuyahoga County Treasures Office as the Cash Manager. This including oversight of the daily real estate tax collections and investment of residual dollars. Dean also spent several years working for a local music industry company. With this firm he was charged with the daily operation of 16 companies having locations in Cleveland, New York and New Orleans.
Dean has lived in Northeast Ohio his entire life and currently resides in Olmsted Falls with his wife and two daughters.
